Engineer M Ali Zulquarnain took charge as the new chairman of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) Thursday.
Prior to his new appointment, he was the member (planning) of BAEC.
Ali Zulquarnain obtained BSC degree on Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) in 1980.
Zulquarnain has more than 30 years of experience in reactor project implementation, operation, maintenance, renovation and upgrading as well as management of research reactor in different capacities.
At present, he is closely involved with the implementation of Rooppur nuclear power plant project.
