Bangladesh Bank has asked all the banks not to collect any application fees from the bank job seekers.
No fees will be applicable at the time of application for bank jobs at any forms of pay orders or bank drafts, said a Bangladesh Bank circular issued yesterday.
The instruction will be implemented with immediate effect.
According to the circular, it is difficult for the banks to pay fees at any form of pay orders or bank drafts for bank job application. Bangladesh Bank had earlier requested the banks not to take the fees from any job applicant. But, still some banks have been found charging fees for job application.
In this perspective the central bank made the decision of putting a ban on all kind of fees for job applications, said the circular.
Attending a seminar in the capital yesterday, Bangladesh Bank Governor Atiur Rahman said: “As a job seeker apply for many jobs at a time, it is very difficult for them to pay those fees as they have no earning source.”
Under the circumstance, central bank has once again asked all the banks not to collect any fees from any bank job seekers, he said.
