Golam Mohiuddin Khan, newly elected president of a faction of the BFUJ, yesterday demanded the job security of journalists and bringing an end to the culture of their unlawful termination by media outlets.
Speaking at the first meeting of the 19-member BFUJ (Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists) committee at its office at National Press Club, he also called for removing the growing trend of salary discrimination and creating scopes for the employment of out-of-work journalists.
Mohiuddin also urged the journalists to get united to realise their due rights and ensure the welfare of their community.
