A youth has been killed on Thursday as a speedy lorry ran over him at Golden City Container Depot area under Akbarshah police station in Chittagong city.
The deceased was identified as --- Md Rashed, 22, a lorry driver, hailed from Laksham upazila of Comilla district, said Sadeep Kumar das, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Akbarshah.
“A speedy lorry rammed Rashed from behind, leaving critically injured,” added the OC.
Later, the locals whisked off Rashed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where the on-duty doctors pronounced him dead, said Md Hanidur Rahman, Nayek of CMCH police outpost.
An unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
