A Dhaka court has issued arrest warrants against 24 absconding accused of a murder case filed over Rana Plaza collapse that killed over a thousand people in April 2013.
Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Al Amin passed the arrest warrants after accepting the charge sheet on Monday afternoon.
Among the accused, Rana is in jail and 16 are on bail.
The court also asked the investigation officer concerned to submit an update regarding the arrest warrants on January 27.
The eight-storey building that housed five garment factories, a shopping complex and a branch of BRAC Bank, collapsed on April 24, 2013 killing over 1,135 people, mostly female workers, and injuring over 2,500 others.
