1 killed, 15 injured in Habiganj clash
A person has been killed and 15 others have been injured during a clash over land property at Noya Pataria village under Baniachong upazila in Habiganj.
The deceased is Selim Mia, 22, son of Tenu Mia and a student of Brindabon Government College
Beijing issues second 'red alert'
China warned residents across a large part of its north on Friday to prepare for a wave of choking smog arriving over the weekend, the worst of which is expected over Beijing, prompting the capital to issue its second ever "red alert".
The National Meteorological Centre said the smog would stretch from Xian, home to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors, across part of central China, through Beijing and up into Shenyang and Harbin in China's frigid northeast.
Putin praises Trump as 'very talented'
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US presidential candidate Donald Trump praised each other on Thursday, saying they would welcome an improvement in the now-icy relations between their two nations.
Trump - who holds the lead in opinion polls in his bid for the Republican nomination and was dubbed the "absolute leader" in the race by Putin - said that by working together, the United States and Russia could work toward defeating terrorism and "restoring world peace."
Cameron: 'Good progress' at EU talks
PM David Cameron has said "really good progress" has been made at EU summit talks in Brussels but renegotiating UK membership would be "very difficult".
Mr Cameron presented his bid to reform the UK's links with the EU at dinner on the first day of the two-day summit.
