At least two people have been killed and ten others injured in head-on collision between a truck and a bus on Anwar Jang road in Kamola bus stand area of Savar.
The fateful road crash took place in the area on Thursday morning killing Shahidul, 28, of Awkpara Adarsha village in Ashulia, and Ebadul, 32, from Bammara area of Rajbari district.
Witness and local sources said a Savar-bound bus of Ananda Super Paribahan from Abdullahpur collided head-on with a truck loaded with sand in Kamola bus stand area, leaving two passengers of bus dead instantly and ten others injured.
The injured got admitted to Enam Medical College and Hospital and some local clinics.
When asked, Savar model police station Sub-inspector Emdadul Hoque confirmed the deaths to the Dhaka Tribune and said they brought the bodies to their workplace.
