Confirming the arrest, RAB legal and media wing Assistant Director Major Maksudul Alam told the Dhaka Tribune: “He was arrested for spreading anti-state propaganda through his Facebook fun page Moja losss?"

He will be handed over to the Vatara police, said the RAB official.

Earlier in April this year, the page which has been vocal against the sexual attacks on women at TSC that took place on Pohela Boishakh, has announced that they will be closing down due to death threats.

Following the incident at the TSC of Dhaka University, the page identified members involved in the attack via screenshots from the TV footages released.

Later, the page updated a status where they indicated they were being threatened. However, when contacted, they did not respond to queries from the Dhaka Tribune.

They announced that they will change its entire admin panel following the death threats.
