Bangladesh women finish as runner-up

Bangladesh women cricket team have finished as runner-up in the ICC Women's World T20 Qualifier in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ireland women team have won the final match against strong Bangladesh side by two wickets, chasing a 106-run target.

Bangladesh made 105 runs losing three wickets in 20 overs.

Bangladesh's Rumana Ahmed won both the titles –Player of the Match and Player of the Series.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first.

On Thursday, both Bangladesh and Ireland teams made it to the final of the Qualifier.

More importantly, both booked their spot to the ICC Women's World T20 2016 in India.

Ireland and Bangladesh have both remained unbeaten through the competition, improving in every game and promising a splash in India.

For both teams, their participation in the contest is a huge boost for the women's game in their country. Going to India will only amplify that.
