BBIN motorcade leaves for Kolkata

A trans-border motorcade on the Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) route has left Dhaka for Kolkata.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader flagged off the motorcade at Manik Mia Avenue on Tuesday morning. Indian High Commissioner Pankaj Saran was also present there.

"Passenger-carrying and goods-carrying vehicles across each other’s borders in the four countries will be launched at the beginning of the next year," Obaidul said.

The motorcade arrived in Dhaka on November 28 from Tripura.

The four countries have already completed a survey of the entire route of the motorcade.
