President Abdul Hamid has left Dhaka for Singapore for his medical checkup.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the president took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:30am Tuesday, BSS reports.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, dean of the diplomatic corps in Bangladesh and high civil and military officials saw him off at the airport.
The president is likely to return home on December 5.
