In wake of Thursday’s gun attack on a Shia mosque in Bogra, Australia has decided to withdraw its government-funded volunteers from Bangladesh by December 31.
According to the latest travel advice issued yesterday, the Australian authorities have advised its citizens to exercise a “high degree of caution” in Bangladesh. Referring to the Islamic State’s reported claims of responsibility for the attack, it further stated: “The level of advice has not changed.”
Australia recently advised it citizens to pay close attention to their personal security at all times and monitor the media about possible security risks.
