The hanging bodies of two cousins have been recovered from their room in the city's Joydebpur area.
The deceased are Jahidul Islam, 18, and his cousin Md Babu, 17.
Family members said Babu used to stay at his maternal uncle Abdul Jalil's house.
On Friday afternoon, both the deceased went to their room and locked it from inside.
Failing to get any response from Jahidul and Babu, family members broke open the doors and found their hanging bodies.
Joydebpur police station SI Enamul Haque said: “Being informed, the police recovered the bodies and sent those to the morgue for autopsy.”
Reason behind the deaths could not be known immediately.
However, the police and the family members are suspecting that they have committed suicide.
“They [Babu and Jahidul]were addicted to drugs,” said the SI.
