A trans-border motorcade on the Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) route will arrive in Bangladesh tomorrow.
The procession started from Odisha state of India on November 15, 2015, which has already come across three countries including Bhutan, India and Nepal in accordance with the BBIN motor vehicle agreement. Finally, it will arrive at Bangladesh.
Road Transport and Highways Division secretary, MAN Siddique yesterday told to Dhaka Tribune,“The motorcade commenced its journey from Odisha and will end at Kolkata after travelling through Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. The motorcade has already come across three other countries except Bangladesh.”
He said,“The motorcade will leave for Bangladesh on November 28 from Tripura. However, it will arrive at Dhaka on November 29 and will return to Kolkata on November 30.”
“The motor rally will enter in Bangladesh through Akhaura border and will leave through Benapole frontier after a two-day stopover in Dhaka,” he added.
Earlier, BBIN countries finalised six routes for passenger-carrying and personal vehicles to travel across each others' borders, which is due to begin in January.
