Bangladesh will demand grant from climate fund instead of soft loan in the Paris Climate Change Conference 2015, Environment and Forest Minister Anwar Hossain Manju has said.
The minister said this while talking to journalists in his office on Wednesday.
The conference will take place from November 30 to December 11 in Paris, France.
“Bangladesh generally gets soft loan from climate fund to cope up the impacts of climate change in the country. Now, we will seek grant from the fund,” said Manju.
The minister will lead a delegation to the conference. The team will leave Dhaka on November 30. However, Manju will attend the conference on December 5.
