Members of Rapid Action Battalion have detained four people arrested from capital's Uttara area for reportedly cheated people out of their fortune by promising them jobs.
The identities of the detainees could not be ascertained.
Deputy Commissioner (media) of DMP Muntasirul Islam confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said they had taken Tk1 crore from different people by promising them jobs and for helping them buy land properties.
He said details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press conference at RAB Headquarters later in the day.
