BRTC buses on Abdullahpur-Motijheel route will be equipped with Global Positioning Systems (GPS) in a bid to provide real-time estimates of the length of the users bus trip.
In association with GoBD and BRTC, UNDP has launched a pilot project to increase the reliability of the BRTC buses.
The service will be delivered through the GoTraffic app which was launched by GoBD, a Bangladeshi Start-up focused on providing real-time traffic data.
BRTC Chairman Mizanur Rahman said: “I extremely appreciate UNDP supporting BRTC through this initiative”.
Details regarding the pilot project will be revealed by the Bangladesh Development Forum on November 15 and 16 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, says an UNDP press release.
