The cabinet has given final approval to the draft of Local Government (Pourasava) Amendment Act, 2015.
The approval came in a weekly regular meeting held at the cabinet room of the secretariat on Monday, with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said the cabinet also gave principal approval to the draft of Insurance Corporation Act.
