The Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase yesterday approved a Bridges Division proposal to select a consultancy firm to look into the rehabilitation of buildings and other infrastructures for the construction of Dhaka Elevated Expressway.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith chaired the meeting at the Cabinet Division.
After the meeting, Additional Cabinet Secretary Mastafasur Rahman told reporters that the Bridges Division had decided to appoint Development Design Consultant Limited for guiding the authorities for the rehabilitation of damaged infrastructures due to the construction of the expressway.
The appointment would cost the Bridges Division Tk13.31 crore, he added.
