Slain publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan's wife is set to file a case against unidentified assailants for the murder of her husband in the capital.
Dipan's father Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque informed the journalists about the matter after talking to Dhaka University Proctor Amzad Ali at his office on Monday afternoon.
He said: “I will assist Dipan’s wife Dr Razia Rahman Jolly in filing the case.”
DU proctor said: “Dipan's father had called me up last night [Sunday night] regarding the keys of Jagriti Prakashani's office. He asked for some assistance when I questioned him about filing a case over the murder.
“He had come to meet me regarding the matter.”
Meanwhile, the process of filing an FIR is underway. The FIR of the case will be sent to Jolly's house for signature, according to the proctor.
However, Dipan's father did not say any specific time when the case would be filed.
Dipan was found dead in the capital's Aziz Supermarket on Saturday evening. Dipan's publishing house also published a book of slain writer-blogger Avijit.
