Muhammad Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan has been appointed as Alternate Executive Director with the rank of a cabinet secretary at the World Bank Office at Washington,
Public administration ministry issued an order on Sunday in this regard.
Musharraf had been serving as cabinet secretary since October, 2011. He was scheduled to go on post-retirement leave (PRL) from Dec 14.
According to the order, the contractual appointment would be for next three years.
