A four-day theatre festival Batighar Natya Mela is going to kick off on Friday afternoon.
Culture minister Asaduzzaman Noor would inaugurate the festival organised by Theatre organisation Batighar, a press release says.
According to the press released issued by Sajib Tanvir, member secretary of the festival committee, the ceremony will kick off at 4pm.
On the first day, Dewan Gazir Kissa, a theatre production by Nagarik Natya Sampradaya would be staged at experimental theatre hall at experimental theatre at 7pm.
In the four days of the festival, seven drama would be staged in National Theatre Hall and Experimental Theatre Hall of Shilpakal Academy.
Besides, musical band Sarbanaam, Joler Gaan, and Meghdal would perform every day in the festival.
In the opening ceremony, Liakat Ali Lucky, director general of Shilpakal Academy, eminent theatre personality Ramendu Mazumder and Sara Jaker would be present as the special guest in the opening ceremony.
