Popular film actor Riaz Uddin Ahmed Siddique, more commonly known as Riaz, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in the capital last night after suffering a heart attack.
He fell ill on the set of the film “Krishnapakkha” and was taken to the hospital around 9pm, where he was immediately taken to surgery, film director SA Haque Alik told the Bangla Tribune.
Sources at the hospital said Riaz is still in critical condition. He is currently under observation at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital, Duty Manager Mafizul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune.
