Formalities to send Tavella's body completed

The authorities of Dhaka Medical College Hospital have completed the formalities to send Italian citizen Cesare Tavella's body to his country.

The body will be sent to Italy on Wednesday.

Detective Branch (DB) Inspector Zihad Hossain also the investigation officer of Cesare Tavella murder case, has told about the completion of the formalities to the Dhaka Tribune.

He said global transportation service company Homebound will carry the body to Italy.

Meanwhile, two Consular Attachés from Italian Embassy in Dhaka – Geo Vany Chianny and Danil Paolo Notaro-- visited DMCH around 9:30am Wednesday.

Besides, an ambulance from the transportation service company has already arrived at the hospital to take Tavella's body.

Cesare Tavella, 51, was the project manager of PROOFS, a food security project of the Netherlands-based ICCO Cooperative.

He was shot on road 90 in Gulshan 2 area in the capital September 27 and he was declared dead at United Hospital in the following day.
