Ain o Salish Kendra has expressed concerns over the recent death of a UGC official in RAB custody, as well as the alleged shooting by a Gaibandha MP that left a child with gunshot wounds.
A press release, signed by the human rights body’s Executive Director Sultana Kamal, read that the ASK was deeply concerned about the death of University Grants Commission official Omar Siraj while in RAB custody on Thursday.
The press release also condemned how a child in Gaibandha’s Sundarganj sustained bullet wounds on his legs when the local lawmaker Manjurul Islam Liton allegedly opened fire.
Ain o Salish Kendra demanded that the culprits in both incidents be punished following probe.
