Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left New York for London yesterday, concluding her eight-day tour of the USA where she attended the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
A British Airways flight carrying the Prime Minister and members of her entourage departed John F Kennedy International Airport Thursday morning local time. Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA M Ziauddin and Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the UN AK Abdul Momen saw the prime minister off at the airport.
Hasina will be received by Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Md Abdul Hannan upon her arrival at the Heathrow International Airport. From there, she will be driven to Hotel Claridge’s for her brief stay in London.
Today, the prime minister will be accorded a community reception at a hotel, following which she would depart London for home by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at around 8:35pm local time, reports UNB.
Hasina is expected to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1:30pm tomorrow, after making a short stopover at Sylhet Osmani International Airport.
