The death toll of Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims in Mina stampede has climbed to 41, according to the Foreign Ministry.
The ministry issued a press release in this regard on Thursday afternoon.
"As per the updated report received from Bangladesh Consulate General, Jeddah, 41 dead bodies of Bangladeshi pilgrims have so far been found, who had lost their lives in the Mina incident on 24 September 2015," said the statement.
Out of these 41, identity of 18 pilgrims has been confirmed, names of 12 have been found and the remaining 11 are unnamed.

The hospitals where Bangladeshis are currently admitted includes Al Noor Hospital, King Abdullah Hospital and Mina Hospital, the HAAB chief said, adding that the Saudi government was not letting anyone enter those hospitals to collect information about the injured.
At least 769 pilgrims – according to the Saudi Health Ministry – were killed on September 24 in a stampede in Mina, outside the Muslim holy city of Mecca, where some two million people gathered to perform Hajj this year.

However, high echelon of Indian and Pakistani authorities confirmed that Saudi authorities provided more than 1,000 photographs of the dead to foreign diplomats from the Hajj stampede.
