A woman and her granddaughter were among four people killed in separate road accidents in Munshiganj on Sunday.
A Mawa bound passenger bus ran over Salma Begum, 35, and her granddaughter Zisan Akter, 2, at Sholaghar of Shreenagar upazila on Dhaka-Mawa highway in the afternoon.
Hashara highway police outpost in-charge Md Hasan said when they were taken to Sholaghar Health Complex, the on-duty doctor declared them dead.
The bus managed to flee the scene after the accident, the police official said.
They hailed from Kamarpara village of the same upazila.
The police were preparing to send the bodies Munshiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Filing a case was also underway.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was killed losing control over his bike at Rarikhal area on Shreenagar-Doha road in the afternoon.
He was identified as Md Uzzal, 32, of Kushuripara village in Shreenagar upazila.
Another pedestrian was kiled died as a DM Paribahan bus hit him near Chanbari area on Dhaka-Mawa Highway on Saturday afternoon.
He was identified as Sirajul Islam, 55, of South Paiksa village.
Agitated people vandalized the bus before police seized it, however, the driver managed to flee the scene.
Officer in Charge Shahidul Islam of Shreenagar Police Station said a case would be filed in this connection.
