Two members of Border Guard Bangladesh have been injured in a clash with the villagers in Dungdungi border area of Dinajpur district.
The BGB members are Mizanur Rahman and Kamal Hossain.
Meanwhile, three locals were injured in the clash. The injured have been admitted to a local hospital.
Locals said the villagers of Gobidapur locked into a clash with the BGB members when they tried to stop them from playing songs loudly around 9:30am Saturday.
BGB 2 Battalion Captain Lieutenant Colonel Jamal, Biral OC Taposh Chondro Pondit, General Secretary of Awami League's upazila unit, among others, sat int a meeting with the villagers regarding the matter.
BGB 2 Battalion Captain Lieutenant Colonel Jamal said: “The incident occurred because of misunderstandings.”
