Eid-ul-Azha has been celebrated in 12 villages under five upazilas of Bhola district on Thursday in line with the celebration of Saudi Arabia.
The followers of Sureshwar and Satkania in these villages, who would be 5,000 in number, have been celebrating Eid every year a day ahead of the celebration that take place in the rest of the country.
The main congregation of the festival took place at Mulai Pattan village in Tabgi union under Burhanuddin upazila of the district at 9am.
The celebration took place in the areas including Ilisha under Bhola Sadar upazila, Tabgi under Borhanuddin upazila, Shibpur, Shambhupur, a part of Lalmohon municipal area and some areas under Jinnagar Union.
Majnu Mia, a follower of Sureshwar, said we celebrate both Eid in accordance with Saudi Arabia.
