Tk21 lakh looted from Jessore Agrani Bank
Robbers have looted Tk21 lakh from the vault of Agrani Bank's Jessore Rajarhat branch by cutting the grill of the bank.
Kotwali police station Sub-Inspector Mahmud said five to six masked men tied up two on-duty night guards of the bank and then entered the bank cutting its grill around 3:30am Friday.

Five militants have been killed during an attack on a Pakistani air force base in Peshawar, officials say.
Up to 10 gunmen attacked a guard post and then entered the Badaber air base, Major General Asim Bajwa said.
State of emergency declared in Chile
Chile's government declared on Thursday a state of emergency for the earthquake-hit region of Coquimbo, which was hardest hit by the Wednesday night temblor and ensuing tsunami waves.
"This decision was taken mainly after (President Michelle Bachelet's) on-the-ground visit to Coquimbo over the last few hours," said Interior Minister Jorge Burgos.
30 injured in Barisal road accident
At least 30 people have been injured when a bus hit a roadside tree at Dapdapia on the Barisal-Patuakhali highway in sadar upazila.
Of the injured, 27 were admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
