National Implementation Committee for Administrative Reorganization-Reform (Nicar) has taken decision to make Mymensingh district a division.
The decision was made at Nicar’s meeting held on Monday.
Jamalpur, Sherpur, Netrokona districts will be included in the new division.

Earlier, the government directed the cabinet division to take necessary administrative steps to make Mymensingh district a division.
Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan briefed reporters after the meeting at the secretariat.
The cabinet division formed an inter-ministerial committee for taking further measures to this regard.
