Two people have been killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Humayun Kabir officer-in-charge of Gorai highway police station said a Dhaka-bound cow-laden truck had collided head on with a salt-laden truck coming from opposite direction at Kadmi Dhalla on the highway on Monday morning, leaving cow-laden truck driver and a cow trader dead on the spot.
Three others were injured in the incident.
The injured were rushed to Mirzapur Kumudini hospital. Of them, one is in critical condition.
