A Speedy Trial Tribunal in Sylhet has framed charges against 32 accused including Khaleda Zia's former political adviser Harris Chowdhury and sacked Sylhet city mayor Ariful Haque in the Shah AMS Kibria murder case.
Judge Makbul Hossain passed the order on Sunday afternoon.
Twenty-two accused, including former state minister for home affairs Lutfuzzaman Babar, were produced before the court during the charge framing order, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Ahad Chowdhury said.
Former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria and four others were killed and many injured in grenade attacks on a rally of Awami League at Baidderbazar in Habiganj on January 27, 2005.
Earlier on June 11, Habiganj District and Sessions Judge's Court sent the case to Sylhet Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal aimed at completing the trial quickly.
Local Awami League leader Abdul Majid Khan filed two cases with the Habiganj sadar police station in connection to the incident. Of the cases, one was file for murder and the other was filed under the Explosives Act.
