Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock at the loss of lives in a crane crash in a part of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
In a message of condolence, the premier said she as well as the people of Bangladesh are very shocked and saddened hearing the news of the fatal crane collapse inside the holy mosque.

Citing PM's press secretary Ihsanul Karim, BSS reported that the prime minister hoped that the Saudi government and its people would be able to overcome the situation.
She prayed for salvation of the departed souls of the deceased and for early recovery of the injured persons.
At least 107 people died and more than 230 people were injured when a crane collapsed in the Muslim holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

The huge red crane crashed into a part of the Grand Mosque - the largest in the world - that was filled with worshippers at the time.
