A pregnant woman has allegedly committed suicide by lying on the railway track near Shohortoli Kochor area in Bogra.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained yet.
One Raju Mondol of the area said the woman was crushed under the wheels of Dolonchapa Express around 12:15pm Wednesday.
He said the body again got crushed under another train Lalmoni Express around 3:45pm.
Bogra Sub-Inspector Nur Amin said: “The Woman was carrying a five to six-month-old foetus in her womb. It was a baby boy.”
He said she might have committed suicide over family conflicts.
Bogra Railway Station out-post In-Charge Harunar Rashid said a constable was sent to the spot to recover the body.
However, he did not make any comments regarding the delay in recovering the body.
