Nestlé Nutrition Institute (NNI) has organised a nationwide series of Nutrition Science Fairs.
The purpose of this fair was to spread awareness among paramedics on the conception of a mother and her child and provide them pertinent training, read a press release issued Monday.
As part of the fair from June 7 to September 3, Nestlé organised day-long Nutrition Science Fairs in 16 different locations nationwide.
In Dhaka, the fair took place in Moyuri Community Center at Mirpur, White Hall Caters in Uttara, State Janakallyan Samity at Azimpur, and Angon Community Center at Mohammadpur.
Outside Dhaka, the fair essential for mother and child’s health took place in 12 locations, including Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna, Barisal, Rangpur, Comilla, Mymensingh, Fardipur and Barisal.
Fairs in different districts were inaugurated by Deputy Commissioners, Civil Surgeons & Local BMA leaders.
Three thousands paramedics from all over Bangladesh were trained during the fair as they play a pivotal role during a child’s birth and the next few days, the press release said.
In the fair, nurses were also trained on issues related to Nutritional requirement during Pregnancy.
