Minister Mohsin flown to Singapore for treatment

Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali, who is suffering from pneumonia, has been flown to Singapore for better treatment.

Masud Ahmed, personal secretary of the minister, told the Dhaka Tribune: “An air ambulance carrying the minister left for Singapore around 12:30pm Saturday.”

The official urged the people of the country to pray for the minister's recovery.

On Thursday, the minister was taken to BIRDEM hospital after he fell sick. Later on Friday, he was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) at a city hospital as his condition deteriorated.

The 66-year-old minister has been suffering from diabetes and underwent a bypass surgery earlier.
