Eight workers have sustained burn injuries in a cylinder blast at a ship breaking yard at Shitalpur area of Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong.
Sitakunda police station Sub-inspector Saifullah said the explosion took place at Shital Enterprise around 7:30am Saturday.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and sent the injured to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
"The explosion might have happened because of leak in the gas cylinder," said the SI.
