Two passengers of an autorickshaw have been killed when a bus hit it in the city's Kakrail area early Thursday.
The deceased are Asif, 25, and Rubel 28, hailed from Narayanganj.
Auto-rickshaw driver Shandhu Mia, 40, was also injured in the accident. He is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
DMCH police outpost In-charge Mozammel Haque said the incident took place when a bus of Econo Paribahan hit the CNG-run autorickshaw near Kakrail crossing around 3:30am.
Being informed, police went to the spot and rushed the injured to DMCH where on-duty doctors pronounced the duo dead.
The bodies were kept at DMC morgue for autopsy.
