Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel have arrested seven members of a CNG-run autorickshaw snatching gang from Radio Colony area of Savar on Wednesday.
The arrested are Md Shahabul, 38, Habibur Rahman, 18, Abul Hossain, 34, Ensan, 32, Mahbubur Rahman, 22, Ranjan Shet, 19, and Azizul Hoque, 20.
Sources said a team from RAB 4, being tipped-off, conducted a drive in the area this morning and made the arrest.
Acknowledging the incident, RAB 4 Sub-Inspector (SI) Suprovat Mandal said the gang has long been snatching autorickshaws by different tactics from Savar, Ashulia and Damrai areas.
