Faisal Ahmed has been appointed as Senior Economic Advisor to the Governor of Bangladesh Bank to support the financial sector development and reform agenda of the central bank.
Earlier, he served as the IMF Resident Representative in Cambodia during 2011 - 2015 and worked in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department at the IMF.
He was a core member of the IMF’s emerging market surveillance team and led Technical Assistance missions on reserve and debt management.
