Capital market expo begins Thursday

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed is expected to inaugurate the expo at the Institute of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB). “The main objective of the fair is to create awareness among stock investors and branding the country’s capital market as many investors have no clear idea about the capital market,” said Ziaur Rahman, editor of Arthosuchak, the country’s first news portal on business and economy, at a press briefing yesterday at the Dhaka Reporters Unity. Organised by Arthosuchak, the expo will have a total of 40 stalls which will remain open from 10am to 8pm every day. Institutions, including stock exchanges, brokerage houses, merchant banks, asset management company and listed companies will take part in the exposition.
