CSE capital market fair to begin October 8

A two-day Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) capital market fair will begin on October 8 in the port city of Chittagong.

The fifth CSE fair is expected to enable the investors to get in touch with the renowned capital market experts, said a CSE press statement released yesterday.

Stock brokers and dealers, merchant banks, asset management companies, listed companies like banks, non-banking financial institutions, insurance companies, mutual funds will participate in the fair.

Other product and service-oriented companies of textile and clothing, pharmaceuticals and chemical, food and allied products, cement, engineering, leather and footwear, papers and printing, oil and fuel, ICT and telecommunications sectors will also take part in the show.

During the fair, investors will be able to interact with the officials of the listed companies.

They will also know more about their products and services, progress of business activates and its future expansion programme, update on latest financial information, corporate governance, AGM dates etc.

Investors can also avail the chance of having interaction with the stock brokers and dealers about their services such as opening BO account, fundamental investing knowhow like P/E ratio, dividend yield, EPS, internet trading services, broker’s workstation etc.

On the sideline of the fair, a series of seminars on different topics like introduction of exchange traded fund (ETF) in Bangladesh, stock market and its role in the national economy and corporate governance and its importance in the listed company.

CSE will arrange a raffle draw every evening of the fair.

CSE had earlier organised its 1st capital market fair in Chittagong in 2005, 2nd one in Sylhet in 2007, 3rd one in Chittagong in 2009 while 4th one in Dhaka in 2014.
