Five members of a family have sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out at a house in South Keraniganj area early Friday.
The victims were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Golam Azad Khan, additional police super of Dhaka zone, said the fire originated from a short circuit at the house around 3am, leaving five family members burnt.
Hearing hue and cry, local people rushed in and rescued the victims.
