A Jubo League leader has been shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Wari area of the capital.
Abdul Mannan, general secretary of ward 31 unit, succumbed to his injuries at Apollo Hospital around 7:15am Wednesday. He was admitted to the hospital after being injured in a shooting on Tuesday night.
When contacted, Abdul Mannan's wife Nusrat Jahan Sathi confirmed the death to the Dhaka Tribune.
Sathi said: “Abdul was returning home along with one of his friends around 10:45pm. Suddenly some unidentified miscreants started firing at them when they were at the entrance of our house."
He was first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
