A woman has committed suicide after killing her two daughters by poisoining at Lemua village under Barguna sadar upazila.
The deceased are Rozi Aktar, and her two daughters Moumi, 4, and Tayeba, 2.
Barguna police station OC Md Riaz Hossain said police are assuming that the incident might have happened following family feud. "Rozi first poisoned her daughters and then she also took poison."
The two children died after taken to Barguna General Hospital. Mother Rozi Aktar died on the way to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
He said Rozi's husband Roman Panchayat, who was not present at their residence at that time, went on hiding after the incident.
"We are looking into the matter. Necessary action will be taken once the investigation is done," said the OC.
