Signal 3 for maritime ports

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no three.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain

close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice, says a special weather bulletin of the Met office.

The boats and trawlers are also advised not to venture into the deep sea.

The monsoon depression over North Bay and adjoining Bangladesh coast remained practically stationary over the same area and was centred at 6am Tuesday.

It is likely to intensify further. Under it's influence squally weather is continuing affect North Bay, adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh and the maritime ports.
