At least seven people have been killed when a bus collided head-on with a microbus in the district's Kahsiani Upazila Saturday, a day after 12 people lost their lives in road accidents across the country.
Moreover, the country witnessed at least 26 deaths in accidents on Thursday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Kashiani police station OC Monirul Islam said: “The accident took place on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway around 11am Saturday, leaving seven people dead on the spot and five others injured.
“The injured have been admitted to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex.”
A total of 128 people were reportedly killed in road and rail accidents in the country in the past week.
