Two sisters have drowned in a pond at Mohishkhula village in Kumarkhali upazila of the district Friday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Zuma, 23, and Jui, 16, daughters of Amjad Hossain, a bank officer, of Mohishkhula village, reports BSS.
Zuma was a third-year-student of Khulna Medical College and her younger sister Jui was a student of class ten of Kushtia government girls' high school.
Quoting locals, police said Zuma and Juli drowned when they were taking bath in a pond. Locals rescued their bodies.
